WEEK SEVEN

Privacy

Before this class we agreed it would be helpful if we met up a half an hour before class. We chose this time because we would already be waiting to start class so most of the group members should be available to meet. Due to Mclmichelles internet connection not working we all agreed we would wait and have the meeting after class.

In this weeks class John gave some over all feedback to our blogposts . He reminded us to keep our style of writing in mind , write more frequently but also to remember to re read our pieces to ensure we were not publishing lazy work. By lazy he discussed that it involved making sure there were no spelling mistakes and that your blog made sense to the readers.

To prepare for this class I read the three articles that John put in the previous weeks notes. I found these articles interesting so I enjoyed reading them .We discussed what we thought of the actions of these people . We came to the conclusion that we sympathised with the younger girl and that her immature actions lead to her losing her career. With regards to the older lady who posted while on a plane . We did not believe she deserved our remorse and that she acted without thinking about the consequences of her post. In turn resulting in her losing her job before landing.

Following on from this we spoke about how privacy may effect us on social media. We took the example of people posting photos of you online without your consent.John was surprised to find out that the majority of the class don't have conversations about how we would like our photos to be shared.In some ways I think it would be a good idea to discuss openly what is okay to post and what is not okay to post. Personally with my circle of friends we have a common understanding of what is suitable to post. 

After class we met up in Social Island but unfortunately our speakers would not work so we waited for everyone to leave the class room and agreed to meet back there. All of our team except one managed to meet . Our meeting was a success!! We talked about what we should aim to get done for the next class but also how we would like to present our project whether it be visually or through sound.There are so many possibilities.

We even managed to take a selfie together.
